Feeder Schools

One of the issues with the falling budgets of the average city college and their possible closures is that so many people are losing the opportunity to trade up.  Think about it this way, if you’re a kid with a 2.0 GPA in high school-what opportunities do you have?  I mean, I remember having a job packing gift baskets after my senior year while I was waiting to go away to school, but I couldn’t imagine that being my entire life.

City college is certainly a way out to be sure for those kids who took a while to mature.  They can spend some time locally and then transfer to bigger and better things.  I know tons of people who benefitted greatly by their experience at various city college’s around California-many of which are having huge budget issues and are closing those same opportunities to current students.
