Meet Central Donors
This Feels Like Home
Home is often a place where people are free to discover who they are and dream about who they want to be. Central College was that place for David ’87 and Cathy Snyders Gray ’88 — and their four children — who all describe Central as “home.”
Investing in International Education
Dave Wesselink ’64 and his family have helped relaunch Central College and its students across the globe with a gift that is making off-campus experiences possible again.
2021-22 Memorial Gifts
Central College receives numerous gifts in memory of lost classmates, mentors, friends and family members each year. These tributes are a generous and thoughtful way to memorialize someone while also making a difference for new classes of Central students.
Paying Generosity Forward
Giving is personal, and for recent Central College graduate Trent Swartwoudt ’22, it’s an act of service for the institution he loves. This scholarship recipient turned scholarship donor was moved to pay it forward during his final year at Central because of the incredible generosity from which he benefited.
Baking a Difference: The Jackson Perkins Education Scholarship
Steven ’01 and Stefanie Bresnahan Perkins ’02 knew their eldest son, Jackson, likely wouldn't be able to attend college after he was diagnosed with autism. The couple decided to endow a scholarship in his name so Jackson's legacy would live at Central College forever.
The Gift of Monthly Giving
As a first-generation college graduate, Justine Jackovich Hines ’13 knows firsthand the value of giving.
Life Loves On
The college’s relationship with Fred Maytag and the Fred Maytag Family Foundation has helped shape the experience of students at the college, like Amber Reysack ’25, for generations.
Supporting Social Justice Work
Since he was a young boy, Paul Poppen ’69 knew he was going to attend Central College. Now his generosity allows others to fulfill their dreams of attending Central.
“I Love This College”
Even as he was coaching elsewhere, Central College wasn’t far from the mind of Jeff McMartin '90.
A Legacy of Love and Scholarships
Central College always held a special place in the hearts of Rev. Edwin ’51 and Luella Rozeboom Mulder ’51.
