Educational Talent Search
Educational Talent Search is a federally funded program that encourages students to graduate from high school and enroll in post-secondary education. Students meet with ETS coordinators in group and individual sessions throughout the school year. Monthly participant workshops focus on success in high school, career awareness, college selection and financial assistance.
Upward Bound
Upward Bound helps low-income and/or first-generation students from participating high schools develop the skills and motivation they need to successfully complete high school and enroll in and complete a program of post-secondary education. Participants receive direct instruction in literature, composition, mathematics, science and foreign language during a 6-week summer residential program on Central College’s campus. Additional support is provided through monthly academic curriculum during school visits, tutoring, Saturday workshops, cultural events and campus visits.
