About Kate Smith
Kate Kanne teaches theatre design courses, including costume, scenic, and lighting design, theatrical makeup, and stage management. She has her BS in Theatre from SDSU Brookings and her MFA in scenic design from MSU Mankato. She particularly enjoys scenic painting and stage properties fabrication. While in Pella she has worked with the Union Street Players and Des Moines Performing Arts.
