Ministry Opportunities
Mission Trips
Campus Ministries offers mission trip opportunities to students during fall, winter, spring and summer breaks. Recently, it organized trips to Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, New York, Haiti, Tanzania, Guatemala and Thailand.
Service Projects
Campus Ministries offers a variety of service projects throughout the year. They include Angel Tree ministry, tutoring, nursing home outreach, blood drives, homeless outreach and more.
Small Groups
Throughout the year Campus Ministries leads several small groups such as Bible studies, discussion groups for new believers and book studies. Many of these are student-initiated. Campus Ministries is dedicated to assisting students in their ministries.
Large Group Worship
Every Sunday evening students gather in the chapel for The Calm, described as “the calm before the storm of a busy week.” It typically includes a message by Chaplain Joe Brummel, a musical worship set, prayer ministry and media or drama to assist in understanding the evening’s message. IVCF holds gatherings at 7:10 p.m. Thursdays; FCA holds gatherings at 8 p.m. Tuesdays.
Ministry Teams
Students and Campus Ministries staff bless the campus in many ways through ministry teams in service, music, awareness, marketing and leadership. Ministry team applications are open to all students after the completion of at least one semester at Central.
